our vision
We envision a community where all people irrespective of their background, have access to fundamental needs of life, shelter, education, healthcare, food and clean water.
Mission
To ensure the improvement of lives of the most vulnerable and poorest of people in Ugandan communities through promoting access to fundamental needs of life.
partnerships
As a Christian charity partnerships are at the heart of what we do. Our work is totally dependant on thoughtful prayer and financial support from churches, local businesses and individuals that share the same values.
the Local church
Our major focus is to bring Christ and His love to communities.
We partner with several local Churches to reach and spot families in need and We will reach out through the local Church.
Our story
The word “Suubi” means hope in the Lugandan language. This was the inspiration for our vision. When Jesus Christ came on Earth to die for our sins, He brought a Hope when the human race had no hope. So the idea of Suubi streams is inspired
by the hope that Christ brings to us. That same hope is what we want to bring to these communities through practical, life-changing work.
The idea of Suubi Streams, TCH Projects and what it represents was born in the early 2000s.
It started off small with reaching out to the community through the Tabiro Gospel Church in the early 80’s and the Tabiro School to teach adults literacy, so they might have access to read the Bible themselves.
In the early 1980’s, Pastor Dominic Ssenyonga was commissioned as a full-time pastor in the village of Tabiro He noticed the need for literacy and founded a primary school now providing quality education on a Christian foundation to over 500 children a year.
Now another three schools have been built with the support of our generous partners in Luwala, Kikuyu and Kiriri to expand the vision and give access to education for those that most need it in those communities as well.
Most families in the communities like Tabiro in the Mpigi District, are healing from the decades of civil war that ravaged Uganda from 1986-2006, leaving many in extreme poverty. Through the school in Tabiro, we seek to subsidise school fees for children and families that would otherwise not be able to afford to send their children to school. The community is one that has been massively struck by HIV/AIDS, which means that there is a high number youth and children that are orphans. The average life expectancy in Uganda is very low due to preventable diseases such as malaria, malnutrition, and HIV/AIDS, which contributes to the problem of orphaned children.
Seeing that pressing need, Pastor Dominic and this wife Ruth would let the children that had no guardians or parents to stay in the school classrooms, so they would have shelter. Through that the idea of Tabiro Children’s Home (TCH) was born. Our founding directors the late Dominic Ssenyonga and Ruth Ssenyonga have instilled values that have made this sustainable to this point, and their legacy and vision still lives on to impact generations.
Our projects are fully dependent on donations and support from generous partners that possess the same heart to love, care and reach these communities with the Gospel of Christ through practical ways.
Our strategy and commitment
providing Quality Education
We will continue to ensure that we provide high quality Education to communities that can’t afford it. We serve in communities that have high levels of illiteracy and we believe to bring a long time change, through providing High Quality education and this will be key to breaking cycles of poverty.
Through our child sponsorship program we are able to support more young people and children through school and give them and short at life.
provide upto standard facilities
A lot of communities like Tabiro dont have access to proper safe learning environments like class rooms, with our generous partners We are able to build Good quality classroomS and furnish them to enable a great and safe environment for learning. Some of the schools can’t afford learning resources, so Suubi streams is here to ensure all communities can have access to Facilities that are up to standard. Through our projects We are also able to provide access to water by funding bore holes, well digging and water tanks.
reach the most VULNERABLE
In communities like Tabiro, Luwala, Kiriri and other communities, you find families struggling for basic needs like food, medical care and education. You also will encounter People from the special needs community, and in primitive cultures, People with disabilities are marginalised and rejected, our involvement brings awareness through workshops, but We also ensure that We bring an opportunity to communities like these to access education and other basic needs through our projects.
The Special needs community
This is a program We really value, as it gives a chance to those that most in need of it, in this program we cater for the phsyically impaired, and to a certain level Mental issues.
In most cultures that are poverty stricken, the special needs community comes low in the pecking order. We have encountered heart breaking stories of individuals that have been marginalised, but with our Projects We are now able to provide Education, Emergency health care and minor operations for those that require them and able to provide nutrious meals and offer counselling and psychological help for those that need it.
We are able to do this because of our generous donors, the need is big so every help counts. You can support a special needs child or support a minor operation that could change a life for ever.

Child sponsorship
Child sponsorship is key in what we do, In the communities we serve 80% – 90% percent of families can’t afford to pay for tuition to keep children in school, and in most cases families can’t afford school resources or basic requirements like books or uniforms.
Our strategy can only be successful with sponsoring as many children as We can, as this keeps Children in school but directly keeps the schools sustainable as well.
We currently have over 350 children that are eligible for our child sponsorship program that would greatly benefit from sponsorship.
For $29 a month you can sponsor a child and help them through primary school,
For $60 monthly you can support a secondary school student.

ELDERLY AND HIV/AIDS Victims!
The communities serve have greatly been impacted by HIV/Aids. Through this program we raise awareness but also make sure that we support those that have been impacted by it. Through this program we provide medical emergency response where required, provide food packages that are nutrious to both the HIV/Aids community and the elderly that don’t have anyone to care for them in these communities. These communities greatly benefit from these packages as nearly 100% can’t afford basic needs like food or medical care.
Tabiro Children’s Home
Due to HIV/AIDS and other life threatening illness there is a high number of orphans in the communities we serve. In a lot of circumustances this calls for even a higher commitment where we have to provide a home, shelter to those that do not have one. Tabiro children’s Home is here to provide do just that. Currently with 2 care takers and 2 social workers fully employed, We are able to have more orphans in Tabiro, and we will cater for their basic daily needs, like meals, medical care, mental health and education.
